PRINCETON, NJ -- Republicans and Democrats are tied at 46% among registered voters in Gallup's weekly tracking of congressional voting preferences, marking a shift after five consecutive weeks in which the Republicans held the advantage.

I think what Barack is doing now is correct - going after GOP failure to work with congress to help the American people; and I hope he continues until election day to remind people that if they want the same politics from the previous decade, then you have a choice to do so in November.

Philosophy is the art of explaining the blinding obvious to people in such a way that they finally get it.
Glad that Obama is doing that. I see alot of other Democratic cabinet members and Congress people are getting off their duff and going on interviews too.
Hope he and the Democrats succeed cause it'd be really depressing living under Teabagger rule.
I'm going to hold every Democrat, intelligent Republican, real independant, sane person who doesn't vote this Nov. responsible if that happens.

Yeah, being responsible today is going to the polls and voting, whoever you are. I'm glad as well to see Obama being aggressive, and putting it out there like he must. People need to hear what's been going on. Republicans have been trying to frame things (lies) for too long now.

Geee Mike you are only a day late and a doller short this was up on the vine yesterday.
But once again let me point out the obvious thing you missed in the link.
Republicans Maintain 25-Point Lead on Enthusiasm
There has been no change in the advantage Republicans hold over Democrats on motivation to vote in the fall elections. Republicans remain twice as likely as Democrats to be "very enthusiastic" about voting, tied with the previous week's measure as the largest such advantage of the year.
You have to play to win.

mavrick03, I didn't miss anything. There's a lot that could be said about the seed; one of which is that this shows, along with recent patterns, that things could continually go back and forth until election day. It also brings into question why a huge lead has been erased, which could be debated by those interested in doing so. This isn't simply about enthusiasm; that's only a part of the picture.
As far as me missing the seed from yesterday, it happens to everyone here on Newsvine.

Republicans Maintain 25-Point Lead on Enthusiasm
It's easy to get morons and crazies riled up. The trick is making sure they manage to get to the polls.
"Jolene, where are my meds? I need to go to that thar votey place."
Make sure you beat the wave of crazies before they get to the polls this Nov.

I'm getting sentimental now that the elections are rolling around. For some reason your statement reminded me of the 2004 election between Kerry and Bush, Zoolopolis....that was an insane time. Isn't politics crazy.
I am glad to see him step up his political game. It is time to stab them with their own petard.

Last week the so-called "librul" media just couldn't spend too much time talking about the 10 point R edge. This week, they're tied and it was just a passing mention in the press. The media has decided this election is going to be a Republican blow-out so they really don't want to report anything that gets in the way of their script.

Very good points, FrJackHackett. I think Dems and Obama are going to hit Republicans hard from now until the election...it should be interesting.

Let's hope so, Mike. Gawd knows there's plenty to hit 'em with if they'd just summon the gumption to do it.

FJH, I'd content that the democratic party has very heavy fists right now when it comes to hitting back. There are too many nuts trying to be republicans, but I am not counting chickens right now, I'm simply tending the eggs.

I hope Barack keeps hitting Republicans. People like a leader who remains strong.
Obama, has something that I voted for, intellect. Obama is doing what I wanted but can't do myself; he is taking it one step at a time, clearing the hazards, stepping up and placing his foot on firm ground, then he works on the next step. If you think Bush represented intellect in any way, I am trying to make sure that Obama creates a program to get you help, (satire but only loosely).

Republicans long for the Dixie days, and now they are gone forever. They are desperately hanging on to the Tea party repubs to hope for some sort of boost. But sadly they won't be able to withstand in the Nove election because thieir candidates are too contraversial for the majority. It is not easy to think of paying a doctor with chickens, especially if he has no chicken house to keep them in. And then he will be forced into the egg business as well and oh my, his mind won't be on his patients health, but his own.
